Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 1, 2026
1600 (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a daily SAT practice app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because the app collects very little.
What we collect
- Email address — when you sign in. Used to create and secure your account and to send you a one-time sign-in code. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the email address associated with that account (Apple may provide a private relay address if you choose to hide your email).
- Account identifier — a random user ID generated for your account.
- Your practice data— the questions you’re served, your answers, whether they were correct, hints used, confidence taps, your streak, and your settings (display name, timezone, feedback preference). This exists only to run the app: to build your daily set, show your results, and track your streak.
We do not collect your contacts, location, photos, or device advertising identifiers.
How we use it
We use the above solely to provide the app’s functionality — authenticate you, serve your daily practice, show your accuracy, and maintain your streak. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with data brokers.
Tracking
We do nottrack you across other companies’ apps or websites, and the app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs for that purpose.
Who processes your data
- Supabase — our backend provider, which hosts the database and authentication service that store your account and practice data on our behalf.
- Apple / Google— only if you choose “Sign in with Apple” or Google sign-in, and only to authenticate you.
These providers process data on our instructions to operate the app.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app: Profile → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible — it removes your profile, practice history, streak, and bookmarks.
Children's privacy
The app is intended for students preparing for the SAT and for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored by our backend provider with access restricted to your own account.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version at this URL.
